"Ghost" Stories
Unseen and unheard.
Many mysteries stay locked away from the world - often because we don’t know who to trust or where to share them.
Not all of us are lucky enough to see ghosts... Perhaps it was a feeling you can’t explain, a sound with no source, or a moment that defies reason.
These are the stories that haunt us quietly, shaping our world in silence.
If your experience lingers in the shadows, we welcome you to share it.

"One of the first memories I have of encountering something that was not of this realm, was when I was about 5 years old. I always struggled with sleeping in my own room as I would get scared.
My dad had gotten me a massive white rose, it was just as big as me - if not bigger, it had a plastic green stem and floppy white petals. I loved it, and kept it in the corner of my room.
Because I was notorious for not being able to sleep alone, my parents ensured I had a nightlight on at all times - this helped soothe me as I would try to make myself fall asleep.
One night, as I was laying in bed, I remember looking at the tall flower that stood in the corner of my room, which would have been to my right on the opposite side. I watched in awe as a bright, white light formed above the flower. I could hear what I genuinely perceived as “angels singing”, as this light grew and opened up above my rose.
Perplexed and confused, I watched it get brighter and louder until it came to an immediate halt, and I never saw it again."

"...Our backyard looked directly at Camp Chestermere, no other houses across from it, just dirt and prairie. The first week or so that we lived there I didn’t sleep at night. I felt out of place, and creeped out.
I would stay up until the sun started to rise, before I was comfortable enough to fall asleep.
I always wondered if we were on land that had bodies buried on it... Our time in Chestermere was not pleasant, and I don’t think it was for any of our neighbors. My parents and I all recall hearing the sounds of footsteps pacing the stairs. My dad said he would wait, staring out their door for someone to finally get to the top of the stairs - but no one ever did.
Late one night, I had my big bedroom window open, when I heard someone whistling… It was an entire song, over and over, someone whistled - and seemed to circle our house (which didn’t have a fence at the time). I followed it, I listened from the washroom, as it got quieter and then ended up right back at my window which faced the street. I never felt alone in that house, even when I really wanted to be."

"I've worked in a Hospice as a Healthcare Aide for over 15 years. One night I was doing rounds at 03:00 am. I was coming down the hall and I could see a lady's head in the linen room through a reflection in the glass window of the RN's supply room. I thought maybe a resident had wandered in there and got confused. Sometimes we would get residents wandering at night. I saw the back of her head move fast. I went to check the linen room and there was no one in there! The height of this person looked short and it reminded me of a resident who had passed away not that long ago. I took off running in the other direction so fast after I finished my rounds! First time I ever saw a ghost! Other instances are call bells going off in empty rooms or in rooms where a resident had just passed away."

"...I was little at my family's cabin, which was built without making proper walls that went to the ceiling, so we had curtains separating the bedroom from the main living room. And half walls that would come up about 6 ft.
So when I stood on the top bunk I could hang on to the half wall and look over it into the kitchen and the living room. Which I loved to do.
One day it was pretty early morning I think like sunrise, probably around 5:00 a.m. because it was the summer, so there was some dim light happening. I was laying on the bunk on the top, and I could see a light through the curtain. I thought that was pretty weird because nobody was up.
But then I stood up and looked over top of the wall into the kitchen and there was no one there and then into the living room, and I saw a basketball size orb floating around. It looked like it was bouncing off of surfaces, and it came up and over the wall into the bunk bed room. There was no one in the opposite bunk bed so it bounced across the bunk bed, and sort of playfully hovered right in front of me, and then suddenly it shot out the living room window, which was closed.
I had a feeling of like deep calm while I was looking at it. I wasn't scared and I wasn't super excited. It was sort of like seeing an old friend."
